Housekeeping Manager

As a Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the housekeeping department at the hotel, being responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests.

What you’ll do

Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily

Lead and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction

Oversee the housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies

Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues, such as room damage or maintenance requests to the Front Office

Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed

Assign duties to members of staff

Listen to customers’ complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively

Order supplies for the housekeeping department

Ensure efficient use of departmental resources

Direct all housekeeping activities

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role, ideally in a 5* hotel environment

Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks

Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products

Excellent organizational and team management skills

Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
